Coming off their blowout win over small conference power Boise State the Spartans turn their attention to a physical South Carolina team. The good news is half back Thomas Flores is probable for this game which would put the Spartans at full strength on offense. Even more good news is the play of senior quarterback Joel Campbell. After setting personal bests against Arizona State he raised his carrer highs the following week with 6 td passes and a school record 476 passing yards. The bad news is on defense where they lose athletic linebacker Napoleon Jones. Jones who is 6'1" 270lbs and has 89 speed and good strength alternates between middle linebacker and defensive end. His combination of size, strength and speed makes him very versatile. " With his tools i just wish we were able to get him more stats but he never played linbacker before coming here so he was a project but his ceiling is unlimited." says coach OneMD. The passing game has been very strong but coach OneMD thinks that the Gamecocks are very aware of this and will game plan to keep the Spartan recievers from big plays. "I'm sure coach Donksta has a plan for our passing but we have always been a balanced team and if we can mantain that balance, thats where we have success. The running game must be effective and the offensive line has to be consistent." says Michigan States all time winningest coach. Michigan State looks to head into conference play undefeated for the first time in 5 years.
