Flores Returns, Fuels Victory over #20 South Carolina

Thomas Flores returned from injury and had 186 rushing yards and 2 tds to lead the Spartans to a 31-17 victory*. For South Carolina, Jack Jackson had some success rushing for 86 yds on 19 carries. This was just one of those days were everything went right for Michigan State. This was a match-up of 2 of the top rushers from last year and 2 Heisman hopefuls this year. Flores shined and after the game his team mates unveiled the nickname they have given him. They call him "Nitro", short for nitroglycerin a material known for exploding any time. Michigan State now heads into conference play undefeated.


* - this was the 2nd game we played after being kicked out by EA's crapshack operation. of course another great game that had "most exciting game of the year potential" ruined. a very weird game. i stormed out to a 21-0 lead and 21-7 at halftime only to be trailing 24-21 about 2 minutes into the 2nd half. i then rallied with 2 tds to take a 35-24 lead he answers, fails conversion 35-30, under 3 minutes in the fourth then nnnhhhhh.
