BCS Championship Game - Miami(13-0) vs Pittsburgh(12-0) at the Fiesta Bowl, Phoenix Stadium

Final score - Miami 24 Pittsburgh 14

Glendale Az. - Back in 1990 or so the Buffalo Bills had a high powered, no huddle offense that seemed unstoppable. They had just finished dissecting the Los Angeles Raiders in the AFC Championship game 51 -3. Going into the Super Bowl against the New York Giants, the question was what can the Giants do to slow down(nevermind stop) the Bills offense. The Giants head coach Bill Parcells came up with a strategy to control the clock by keeping the ball and eating up time of possesion and it worked. They won the Super Bowl by 2 points. Fast forward to this years championship game as Miami entered the contest with a seemingly unstoppable offense and one of the best defenses in the country not to mention they are riding a 25 game win streak and a national title last year. Pittsburgh entered the title game with a remarkable undefeated season. Based on team talent, StephenJHawking might have done the best coaching job this year. Noone expected a championship game appearance except maybe Pitt itself. The Panthers tried to employ the same strategy that Parcells used but with not the same results. Miami was in control for the entire game even though they scored a season low 24 points. Almost 50 below thier average. A horrible play nullified a field goal for Pitt before the half but I think it would have not changed the outcome. Many predicted a blowout, the spread was as large as 28 points but Pitt played a good game and the score was respectable. For Miami though the future looks as bright as the present. With many starters returning, Miami will be once again a favorite to win it all. Miami is on a roll right now. 2 national championships, a 26 game win streak, many players returning, and of course the coach that made it possible returns. Coach Javelina has won 3 NAtional Championships since arriving and now is poised once again to win another. If it happens he will have 4 National titles and Miami will be the first team to win 3 Championships in a row after becoming the first school to win 3 BCS titles with this victory.
